The visitors to World of Discoveries will embark in a true journey back to the age of Portuguese Discoveries using high technology and real size replicas as well as historic sceneries.
The museum’s restaurant has a 150-guest capacity and it will be open daily with a menu from the different countries and regions that made part of the Exploration period – namely, Africa, China, India, Japan and Brazil. The museum shop will also display and sell epoch products from these countries.
The museum expects 300,000 visitors a year and all the contents will be translated into six languages: Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, German and Italian. There will also be available an audio guide for the Caravel route.
The full project occupies a 4 000 square meter area and a 200 square meter space available for temporary and itinerant exhibitions that can be used for events and groups up to 200 people.
