Portugal in the top 10 of world tourism

The annual Report on Nation Brands, which measures the strength of countries as brands, highlighted Portugal in the list of “top performers” of 2013 in tourism, ahead of the United Arab Emirates and Australia. Tourism of Portugal had one of the fastest increases in the sector, having 13 points valued in international markets, for a total of 71 ranking BSI (Brand Strength Index) tourism. The first places went to Thailand (79), Malaysia (76), Austria (75), New Zealand (75), Switzerland (73), Singapore (72) and Estonia (71).

Portugal stood out this year as the fourth country with the highest increase in tourism.
